We had some fun with this group of kiddos today.  They were fun and charming and oh, so cute. 

We went to Laurelhurst Park for today’s session.  It really is a lovely place for photos, and other than the park down the hill, it is our favorite for portrait sessions.  It’s big and spacious.  And, right now - the lighting is great.  The trees are still really green, but the lighting seems a little more golden these days.  It really does feel like fall.

Even though the weather is completely unpredictable this time of year, it’s such a great time for pictures.  Which reminds me, I need to start planning some pictures of our girls.

Ever wonder what it looks like behind the scenes? This is it. Usually Emma will put forth her best poses while we set up lighting and get the studio ready for the day. Emma loves to have the studio as her stage - she just likes to perform, even though most of the time you see a very quiet Emma. She’s not. This picture is a true reflection of her personality and it really, truly is how things look around here about 15 minutes before you arrive.  -Lisa

Brick Lane Studios is joining the folks at Airplay Cafe  for a fun Father’s Day concert next Sunday.

These are the details for the event (from the Airplay Cafe website):  Sunday, June 21, 2009    Special Father’s Day Family Concert featuring Andy Simon and Paul Sanchez and (JUST ADDED) Canoofle, 5 - 7pm. Andy and Paul play music dads will enjoy and that will entertain the kids, then Canoofle takes the stage with their unique brand of music improvisation. Get ready with some funny dad-related titles. Canoofle will make up a song on the spot! Dads will also enjoy happy hour pricing on beer and wine. And here’s a chance for dad to get a special photo with his favorite little person or little gang. The group can pop into our onsite photo booth for a free portrait sitting from Brick Lane Studios. (Photos will be available for download at a special $15 price—prints also available) $5 per person/$10 per family.
